Never Give UP

By: Theo McLanahan

Everyone has the odd bad day when they feel like they are stuck and not progressing. Sometimes it seems like the best thing to do is to give up. Although this might make you feel better for a short period of time, it can also leave you feeling guilty and stressed.

If you can make the commitment to stick with your business plan, it will seem hard, but you will feel better for having done so in the end. If you are struggling with your business goals, why not enlist the services of a life coach to help you. Or, you may find that your business turmoil is tied to your personal life and they are affecting each other.

If you are feeling stress in your personal life, your business life will definitely suffer. Stress can make you feel overwhelmed, fatigued, and on edge. A life coach can suggest some stress management techniques.

Anxiety affects everyone differently. You will find though that you can't be as productive when you are always worried about something. Extreme anxiety should be cared for by a doctor. If your problems are not as major, a life coach may be able to help you break the cycle. He or she can help you determine the cause of your anxiety and help you manage it with different strategies.

Some people have a lack of focus. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed and out of control when you have a lot work piling up on you. A life coach can help you take back your focus. They can give you an unbiased opinion of what tasks will help you and which ones are time wasters. They can help you develop strategies, such as creating goals and action plans to help you accomplish the things that need to be done.

Be sure to also take care of yourself, as it relates to how you feel. A life coach can also direct you towards healthier eating choices and towards making time in your routine for exercise.

Time Management Strategies For Improving Work Performance

Improving your performance helps you to work more effectively, focusing on the right things to do in alignment with your goals. It means that the time you invest in work is put to its best use. Learning the strategies needed for this can be done quite simply and worked on more deeply as you become accustomed to them.

By: Wendy Hearn

If you want to improve your work performance these time management strategies can help you to work more effectively and achieve a lot more. Better performance isn't just about doing a lot more, otherwise you could end up just working far too hard.

1 - Planning. This is essential to improved performance and planning helps you to identify in advance the things that need to be done, when they need to be completed, and what you need to accomplish them. Thinking this through and writing it down beforehand prepares you better and allows you to focus 100% on the tasks as you're doing them, rather than getting distracted when you're unsure. Planning also helps to avoid interruptions to your work flow when you have to find necessary tools or paperwork. Once you have a clear plan outlined, now you're ready to work through it diligently.

2 - Review and reevaluate weekly. Each week take a little time out from your normal work tasks, perhaps about 15 minutes and carry out a review of your previous week. Take a look at what you were able to get done, the things that you weren't able to complete and most importantly notice the times when your performance was at its best. Identify what helped you to perform tasks better. Perhaps your energy was higher, you felt more relaxed and rested, or perhaps you felt very enthusiastic and motivated. Its from these things that you'll learn the most about how to improve your own personal performance. From this review, re-evaluate how you're going to approach the following week and what specifically you're going to implement.

I encourage you to be continually aware of your performance so that you identify how to have more of the peak times and less of the low-performing times.

PARIS HIP HOP AT ITS FINEST

1990s

He was catapulted onto the national scene in 1990 with his hit single "The Devil Made Me Do It" and album of the same name, after earning a degree in economics from UC Davis. Originally released on Tommy Boy Records, his first single was banned by MTV. Since then his stance on political issues and social commentary have both aided and hindered his quest to bring his music and messages to the masses.

When his second album, Sleeping with the Enemy, was ready for release in 1992, Paris was dropped from now-defunct Tommy Boy Records and distributor Time Warner when they discovered its incendiary content - content which includes fantasy revenge killings of then-President Bush and racist police officers. Also problematic was the album's insert, which features the artist waiting behind a tree, holding a rifle, as the president is waving to the crowd. Paris eventually released the LP himself on his newly-formed Scarface Records. Also in 1992, Paris contributed to industrial music band Consolidated's 1992 album Play More Music with the track "Guerrillas in the Mist".

Paris signed a major artist and distribution deal with Priority Records for himself and Scarface Records in 1993 and released his third LP, Guerrilla Funk, and several then up-and-coming groups, most notably the Conscious Daughters. Paris and Priority formally severed their business relationship due to creative differences in 1995, and in 1997, Paris signed a one-off deal with now-defunct Whirling Records (distributed by Rykodisc), for the release of his 4th LP, Unleashed, released in small numbers with little promotion. The album contains some very solid production, and while less overtly political as earlier efforts, the lyrics continue to focus on unity and struggle against racial discrimination. The album was also released in Europe with a different track list, featuring songs from '94, '96 and '98, some of which are more in the style of his earlier releases. Becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the music industry, Paris retired from recording and worked as a stockbroker, cementing his personal wealth allowing him to independently finance the next stage of his musical endeavours.

[edit] 2000s

In 2003 Paris returned with his most current album, Sonic Jihad. The album continues his tradition of controversial cover art, evoking images of the September 11, 2001 attacks, it depicts a plane flying towards the White House. The content is equally radical and speaks on many topics, including the war on terror, the war in Iraq, police brutality, black-on-black violence, and conditions in inner-city communities. Other politically-minded hip hop artists are featured on the album, including Kam, dead prez, and Public Enemy. Sonic Jihad was the catalyst for the creation or Paris' new label and website, Guerrilla Funk Recordings [1], a home for projects and material of such notable acts as dead prez and Public Enemy.

In 2006, Paris completed a project with Public Enemy, Rebirth of a Nation, the title both a reference to the 1915 film The Birth of a Nation, controversial for its glorification of the Ku Klux Klan and its racist portrayal of African Americans, and PE's 1989 classic It Takes A Nation Of Millions.... Although Chuck D is the primary vocal performer, Paris penned - and produced - the bulk of the album, which also features N.W.A's MC Ren, Immortal Technique, Kam, dead prez, and The Conscious Daughters.

In 2006 Paris also released Paris Presents: Hard Truth Soldiers, Vol. 1, the first in a Paris-produced compilation series that touches on subjects ranging from war and police brutality to black on black crime and domestic violence. It showcases contributions from Public Enemy, The Coup, dead prez, Paris, T-K.A.S.H., Kam, The Conscious Daughters, Mystic, MC Ren, Sun Rise Above, and The S.T.O.P. Movement (Mobb Deep, Tray Deee, Soopafly, KRS-One, Defari, Daz, J-Ro, RBX, Bad Azz, WC, Dilated Peoples, Mac Minister, The Alchemist, Mack 10, Evidence, Defari, Everlast, and B-Real), among others.

Also in 2006, Paris introduced the world to former Coup-member T-K.A.S.H. and his debut offering, Turf War Syndrome, handling production duties as well.

His anti-war anthem "What Would You Do?" on his Sonic Jihad album [2] questions the official account of 9/11, and condemns the Bush administration's actions in response to and surrounding the events of that day. It is also featured on the Peace Not War, Vol. 2 compilation album.[3]

BETFAIR

what is betfair?

Since Betfair was launched in June 2000 it has become the largest online betting company in the UK and the largest bet exchange in the world. Betfair currently has over 1,000,000 clients and a turnover in excess of £50m/week.[citation needed]

A bet exchange allows punters (gamblers) to bet at odds set and requested by other punters rather than by a bookmaker. Members can make both 'Back' bets (normal bets on a selection to win) and 'Lay' bets (bets on the opposite side of the Back, against the selection), thereby eliminating the traditional bookmaker.

Betfair uses decimal odds, which are easier to calculate with than fractional odds. Its bookmaking model brings together two counterparties with opposing views, and thus removes the need for a bookmaker's markup or overround. As a result, the odds are up to 20% better than bookmakers' odds, according to the site's operators.[citation needed] At the more fancied end of the market the odds offered on Betfair tend to be closer to the bookmakers' odds, whereas for a more speculative bet the odds available may be over 50% higher on Betfair, more accurately reflecting the bet's true chances of success. Betfair punters are able to offer odds based on their own opinion rather than on a set bookmakers' margin. Betfair charges a commission on all winning bets, which is set at 5% of the net winnings for most markets, although according to how much a client wagers on the site, it is possible to reduce the amount of commission paid to as low as 2%.

The Betfair interface can be seen as bearing a strong similarity to that of the Stock Exchange, with the 'bet' and 'lay' options comparing to the buying and selling of derivatives. Indeed there are many professionals who play the Betfair market for profit, using purpose-designed software, in much the same way as a Stock market trader.

The company has attracted much comment in the British and Australian press. Its co-founders, Andrew Black and Edward Wray, won the Ernst and Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award. In 2003, the company was one of about 50 recipients of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise in the Innovation category.[1] The Queen's Awards are the UKs highest official awards for business.

In October 2005 chief executive Stephen Hill announced his resignation when the board decided not to proceed with plans for a stock market flotation, the investors holding out for a higher valuation.[2]

In November 2005 the Tasmanian government announced a deal to licence Betfair in the state. The deal will see Tasmania receive AU$5 million up front and is projected to pay Tasmania about $40 million per year. Now that it has been approved by the Tasmanian Parliament, it will be the second licence Betfair has received outside the UK - the first being in Malta. The deal has infuriated the established monopolistic totalisators and bookmakers (due to loss of revenue) and governments (due to loss of taxes) in the other Australian states. A ban on the use of betting exchanges took effect in Western Australia on the 29th January 2007 and possibly South Australia in the future. Betfair claims this new law violates the Constitution of Australia and filed a legal challenge which remains before the courts.[3]

On 28 February 2006 Betfair launched a new interface, including current live scores of in-play soccer matches, jockey silks and horse form, and an 'express view' in which only the currently available back odds are viewable. Within two days the 'Xpress' idea was also adopted by BETDAQ. The changes were criticised on the Betfair forums by many members who disliked the smaller fonts and the right-aligned columns, which displayed a large amount of whitespace. On March 1 these display issues were addressed, although many users still felt the site had been dumbed down in order to attract new punters to the exchanges. The gambit worked, however, with a significant increase in membership and deposits during the Cheltenham Festival.

Softbank purchased 23% of Betfair in early April 2006 valuing the company at £1.5 billion. In December 2006, Betfair completed the purchase of the horseracing publishing company Timeform (which traded under the name Portway Press Ltd).

Betfair launched its own radio service, Betfair Radio, in March 2007 available via its website and on the telephone. Betfair Radio broadcasts horse racing commentary, results and sports news seven days a week from the studios at their headquarters in Hammersmith.

online dating - second date rules

It suits a girl to be as honest and forthright in her
profile as possible. Make sure you post an attractive,
current picture and are up-front about any dealbreakers or
special preferences. But remember, your profile is the only
chance you'll have to make a first impression on the person
who may be your future partner - you don't want to waste
those precious few moments with a list of demands. Think
things through when writing your profile, and don't be
afraid to post the wacky details making you much more
desirable and interesting to a potential partner.

It may sound like common sense, but don't forget about your
personal safety just because you're sitting behind your
keyboard in your pajamas while surfing your favorite
Internet dating site. Don't give potential dates your home
address, and meet in a public place. If you are planning to
meet your online date, make sure somebody else knows about
your plans. And remember - if you feel uncomfortable in a
dating situation; feel free to cut off contact. It's both
your prerogative and obligation to keep safety in mind at
all times.

Your expectations shouldn't be low, but they should be
realistic and reflected in your attitude towards the entire
experience. So take a deep breath, perfect that profile, and
get ready to widen your social circle! Whether you're going
online to find marriage or just a fun activity partner,
remember Internet dating has its perks and drawbacks, much
like any other dating venue.

online dating can be a fun new avenue for a woman on the
prowl. But what does Internet dating mean for a woman,
anyway? How can you up your chances of finding the partner
you've been looking for? The answers are simple - with a bit
of work and a lot of luck, you can do it with the click of a
mouse. You won't need a book or an expensive counselor to
tell you how to find a date online if you follow these
sensible tips.

In the not-so-distant past, the only people who took part in
the online dating scene were either desperate or nerdy
programmers hooked on the World Wide Web. Luckily for
today's woman, the world of Internet dating has lost much of
its stigma in the last five years. You can be confident
meeting someone online isn't unusual or foolish - in many
cases; it just makes sense to reach into a wider dating
pool.

The great news about online dating services is they allow
you to select for qualities and characteristics you find
valuable, while allowing you to search based on more
superficial qualities. If you've been dreaming of someone
tall, dark and handsome who lives within 20 miles of your
doorstep, you're in luck. It's a good idea to go for a man
whose profile you connect with on a more personal level.
Shared interests, hobbies and goals go a long way - both
online and in the eventual in-person meeting. Just because
you've decided to search for love online doesn't mean you
should lower your exacting standards for what you want in a
man.

how to make your first dollars online

It is hardly a new concept, affiliate marketing, it has been
around in its current form for over 10 years. The idea is
very simple, the site selling some goods gives you a special
link which you go out and advertise (put on your own website
etc). When people click that link it tells the merchant that
you sent the prospect to them. If that person then buys
something you get a cut of the sale price.

The first step to making cash as an affiliate marketer
online is to set up an account with a network, these give
you access to a wide range of offers you can promote with
just one click and all the payment are managed by the
network so you can trust them. Clickbank is a payment
intermediary that most ebook marketers choose to deal with
for information goods. Clickbank makes it easy to set up
affiliate associations and receive payments automatically.

Paydotcom.com is another network recommended network, they
allow you to be paid straight to your PayPal account instead
of waiting for a cheque to come every 2 weeks from
Clickbank, but they do not have anywhere as many products to
promote.

Once you are up and running on an affiliate network then you
need to browse the site for websites and products that match
the area you want to market in. Most of the networks have
statistics that allow you to pinpoint popular sites. This
means you can direct traffic to sites that you know will
convert them into customers and make you money. Don't avoid
the sites with less statistics though as they may just be
new, and you could get in before other affiliates and
promote that site first before it become popular.

If a site makes a lot of sales but the product is poor then
you do not want to associate yourself with it. People judge
your site by what you recommend and advertise, so it is not
worth jeopardizing your sites reputation for some quick
money. Take the time to search Google for what people are
saying about the product and company to see if they are
keeping their customers happy.
Amazon runs its own affiliate program which allows you to
sell all the products on the site for commission. Imagine
getting a commission on a $4000 plasma TV... you can get
that if you direct some people who are looking for a plasma
TV to the site. All you are doing is being a middleman
directing people to where they already want to go.

Affiliate marketing is a numbers game, if you can get more
people through that link then you will make more money
(usually). This means you need to always be working at
getting traffic to your sites and links so that people get
over to the merchant's site to make you commissions. There
are so many ways to get traffic but I recommend you stick to
one and master it before incorporating more into your
arsenal.

There is huge potential in affiliate marketing, you can
reinvest profits into outsourcing tasks and allow your
empire to grow. But first you have to make you first
commission then you can thinking about building your empire.
Go on relevant forums, and buy some products that explain
everything to you and get started. You will make mistakes at
first, but as long as you learn from them then each mistake
is actually a step towards success. Good luck.

We have reviewed the top 3 ways to make money online and you

ARE THE PEOPLE BLIND? (Alex Jones)

Jones was born in Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas,[3] and grew up in the suburb of Rockwall.[4] He graduated from Anderson High School in northwest Austin, Texas in 1993 and briefly attended Austin Community College.

He began his career in Austin with a live, call-in format cable access television program. In 1996, Jones switched format to KJFK, hosting a show named The Final Edition.[5] In 1997, he released his first documentary-style film, America Destroyed By Design.[6]

In 1998 Jones spearheaded the effort to rebuild the David Koresh led Branch Davidian compound/church near Waco, Texas. He often featured the project on his cable access program and claimed that Koresh and his followers were peaceful people that were murdered by Attorney General Janet Reno and the ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) in the infamous Waco Siege.[7]

In 1999, he tied with Shannon Burke for that year's "Best Austin Talk Radio Host" poll as voted by The Austin Chronicle readers.[8] Later that year, he was fired from KJFK-FM. According to the station's operations manager, Jones was fired because his viewpoints made the show hard to sell to advertisers and he refused to broaden his topics.[5] Jones argued: "It was purely political, and it came down from on high," and, "I was told 11 weeks ago to lay off Clinton, to lay off all these politicians, to not talk about rebuilding the church, to stop bashing the Marines, A to Z."[5]

In early 2000 Jones was a Republican candidate for state representative in Texas House District 48, a swing district based in Austin, Texas. Jones however aborted his campaign and withdrew before the March primary. He claimed he did not want to disclose personal information on mandatory campaign finance reports. Critics stated his departure was due to poor polling results and an overall lack of voter support. Democrat Ann Kitchen won the seat in the November election. [1]

Also in 2000, Jones and assistant Mike Hanson infiltrated the Bohemian Grove and filmed the opening weekend ceremony, known as the Cremation of Care, a mock human sacrifice in front of a 40' stone owl, which he believes has Pagan origins. His footage can be viewed in his film Dark Secrets: Inside Bohemian Grove.

On June 8, 2006, while he was on his way to cover a meeting of the Bilderberg group in Ottawa, Canada, Jones was stopped and detained at the Ottawa airport by Canadian authorities who confiscated his passport, camera equipment, and most of his belongings. He was later released.[9]

On September 8, 2007 Jones was arrested while protesting at Sixth Avenue and Forty-Eighth Street in New York, NY. He was charged with operating a bullhorn without a permit. In addition two others were cited for disorderly conduct when his group crashed a live TV show featuring Geraldo Rivera. One of Jones’s fellow protesters said "It was ... guerrilla information warfare,”[10]
Jones has appeared in two Richard Linklater movies as an actor: Waking Life (2001) and A Scanner Darkly (2006).

My Best Hip Hop Artist

Following the deaths of Tupac Shakur and the Notorious B.I.G.,

DMX took over as the reigning, undisputed king of hardcore rap. He was that rare commodity: a commercial powerhouse with artistic and street credibility to spare. His rapid ascent to stardom was actually almost a decade in the making, which gave him a chance to develop the theatrical image that made him one of rap's most distinctive personalities during his heyday. Everything about DMX was unremittingly intense, from his muscular, tattooed physique to his gruff, barking delivery, which made a perfect match for his trademark lyrical obsession with dogs. Plus, there was substance behind the style; much of his work was tied together by a fascination with the split between the sacred and the profane. He could move from spiritual anguish one minute to a narrative about the sins of the streets the next, yet keep it all part of the same complex character, sort of like a hip-hop Johnny Cash. The results were compelling enough to make DMX the first artist ever to have his first four albums enter the charts at number one.

DMX was born Earl Simmons in Baltimore, MD, on December 18, 1970. He moved with part of his family to the New York City suburb of Yonkers while still a young child. A troubled and abusive childhood turned him violent, and he spent a great deal of time living in group homes and surviving on the streets via robbery, which led to several run-ins with the law. He found his saving grace in hip-hop, starting out as a DJ and human beatbox, and later moved into rapping for a greater share of the spotlight, taking his name from the DMX digital drum machine (though it's also been reinterpreted to mean "Dark Man X"). He made a name for himself on the freestyle battle scene and was written up in The Source magazine's Unsigned Hype column in 1991. Columbia subsidiary Roughhouse signed him to a deal the following year and released his debut single, "Born Loser." However, a surplus of talent on the Ruffhouse roster left DMX underpromoted, and the label agreed to release him from his contract. He issued one further single in 1994, "Make a Move," but was convicted of drug possession that same year, the biggest offense of several on his record.

DMX began to rebuild his career with an appearance on one of DJ Clue?'s underground mixtapes. In 1997, he earned a second major-label shot, with Def Jam, and made a galvanizing guest appearance on LL Cool J's "4, 3, 2, 1." Further guest spots on Mase's "24 Hours to Live" and fellow Yonkers MCs the LOX's "Money, Power & Respect" created an even stronger buzz, and in early 1998, he released his debut Def Jam single, "Get at Me Dog." The song was a gold-selling smash on the rap and dance charts and paved the way for DMX's full-length debut, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot, to debut at number one on the pop charts. Produced mostly by Swizz Beatz, who rode the album's success to a lucrative career of his own, It's Dark and Hell Is Hot earned DMX numerous comparisons to 2Pac for his booming, aggressive presence on the mic and went on to sell over four million copies. Not long after the album's release in May 1998, DMX was accused of raping a stripper in the Bronx but was later cleared by DNA evidence. He went to make his feature film debut co-starring in Hype Williams' ambitious but unsuccessful Belly.

Before the end of 1998, DMX completed his second album and a pending buyout of Def Jam pushed the record into stores that December. Featuring a controversial cover photo of the rapper covered in blood, Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood entered the charts at number one and eventually went triple platinum. The following year, DMX hit the road with Jay-Z and the Method Man/Redman team on the blockbuster Hard Knock Life tour. During a tour stop in Denver, a warrant for his arrest was issued in connection with a stabbing, of which he was later cleared; another incident occurred in May, when he was accused of assaulting a Yonkers man who'd allegedly harassed his wife (the charges were once again dropped). More serious charges were brought that summer, when DMX's uncle/manager was accidentally shot in the foot at a New Jersey hotel. Police later raided DMX's home and filed animal cruelty, weapons, and drug possession charges against the rapper and his wife; he eventually plea-bargained down to fines, probation, and community service. In the midst of those difficulties, the Ruff Ryders posse -- of which DMX was a core, founding member -- released a showcase compilation, Ryde or Die, Vol. 1. With contributions from DMX, as well as Eve, the LOX, and multiple guests, Ryde or Die, Vol. 1 debuted at number one in the spring of 1999, further cementing DMX's Midas touch.

Toward the end of 1999, DMX released his third album, ...And Then There Was X, which became his third straight to debut at number one. It also produced his biggest hit single since "Get at Me Dog," "Party Up (Up in Here)," which became his first Top Ten hit on the R&B charts. The follow-ups "What You Want" and "What's My Name?" were also quite popular, and their success helped make ...And Then There Was X the rapper's best-selling album to date, moving over five million copies. During its run, DMX returned to the big screen with a major supporting role in the Jet Li action flick Romeo Must Die. In the meantime, he was indicted by a Westchester County, NY, grand jury on weapons and drug charges in June of 2000. He also entangled himself in a lengthy legal battle with police in Cheektowaga, NY (near Buffalo), when he was arrested in March for driving without a license and possession of marijuana. He missed one court date, and when he turned himself in that May, police discovered more marijuana in a pack of cigarettes the rapper had brought with him. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 days in jail, and his appeal to have the sentence reduced was finally denied in early 2001. After stalling for several weeks, he turned himself in and was charged with contempt of court. He was further charged with assault when, upon learning he would not be let out early for good behavior, he allegedly threw a food tray at a group of prison officers. He later bargained the charges down to reckless assault and paid a fine, and accused guards of roughing him up and causing a minor leg injury.

Not long after DMX's release from jail, his latest movie, the Steven Seagal action film Exit Wounds, opened at number one in the box office. DMX also contributed the hit single "No Sunshine" to the soundtrack and signed a multi-picture deal with Warner Bros. in the wake of Exit Wounds' success. With his legal problems finally resolved, he returned to the studio and completed his fourth album, the more introspective The Great Depression. It was released in the fall of 2001 and became his fourth straight album to debut at number one. Although it went platinum quickly, it didn't have the same shelf life as his previous releases. In late 2002, DMX published his memoirs as E.A.R.L.: The Autobiography of DMX and also recorded several tracks with Audioslave (i.e., the former Rage Against the Machine). One of their collaborations, "Here I Come," was featured on the soundtrack of DMX's next film, a reunion with Jet Li called Cradle 2 the Grave. The film opened at number one upon its release in March 2003, and its DMX-heavy soundtrack debuted in the Top Ten. Grand Champ was released six months later, followed by 2006's Year of the Dog... Again. Just prior to that album's release, his revealing BET reality program made its debut.
